Water Damage is no fun:(

The other night Jim went into the basement storage room and saw water dripping from the ceiling down to the floor. We looked upstairs in the office, which is directly above the storage room, and found the carpet SOAKING wet and the sheet rock walls incredibly damp.

We called a restoration company and they tried drying out the walls but to no avail they were still wet after 4 days of high powered fans blowing on them. (Not a pleasant sound to listen to in the house ALL night long)

On Friday the restoration company came out and removed all wet dry way and carpet padding. Below are some sad pictures of what our front entry way looks like right now:(.
The front entry way after all the wet sheet rock was taken out.
They had to remove the nice tile entry wayThe plastic part goes right into the garage

The sheet rock on this wall was the wettest and completely removed. I am standing in the entry way looking in to the office.

The carpet in the office pulled back to dry.

We think we have figured out the problem and hope to have it fixed soon. I guess this comes with the territory of being a homeowner:).

OH MY GOSH! That totally sucks! We had our roof leak at our old house and some of the ceilings caved in. Water damage is the worse! Good Luck!
