Jim and I decided to take a little trip to celebrate both of us being college graduates, and just a good excuse to get away just the two of us.
We left on Thursday morning and flew to the airport near Disneyland. We spent two exhausting days at Disneyland and flew back home on Sunday.
One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to turn off all computers and cell phones. I love technology but when I am on vacation I like it to leave me alone. No phones ringing, no facebooking, no e-mail checking, no Internet surfing, no news reading...nothing, just each other. (Hurricane Katrina hit while we were on our honeymoon and we had no idea until we got back in town) I told Jim he could check his phone messages in the evenings, in case work called, but other than that it had to stay in the hotel room in his bag. I was just excited to get away from everything!
Well, our first day in the park we went up to the information booth and asked about restaurant reservations. The nice gentleman said "you can find any pay phone and push the "restaurant" button OR it is easier if you have a cell phone you can just call this number. " Jim quickly looked at me and said in a funny voice "we don't have our cell phones on us, do we..." I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Literally the first thing we do we need our cell phones! I just kept telling Jim that people years ago survived without them, we could too.
We ended up successfully going 3 days with out any other "hiccups" and we had an absolute blast!!

Yeah we are in Disneyland!!

The fireworks at night were awesome!

I am a giant!

Jim is cute, we went to California adventure for a few hours and then he turned to me and said, "can we go back over to Disneyland, it is so much more magical over there? California adventure is just like another amusement park".

We walked so much!! Jim got huge blisters on his feet the first day.

As a young buck Jim was sure he could pull the sword from the stone. So, as an adult he HAD to try again, still no luck... I love the little boy that is looking at him like he is AMAZING!

In Tarzan's tree house.

Enjoying a famous Monte Cristo sandwich for lunch at the New Orleans cafe. Super yummy!!

This ship took us on a ride down the river. It was fun:)

This is the only charater that would pause for a picture with us...

Dessert at the Blue Bayou. The food was phenomenal and the dessert was a fun cookie cut in the shape of a boat with ice cream, caramel, and fudge on top with a sail stabbed in the top.

Does anyone see Cindy? Oh, there she is behind Jim's arms... When Jim and I saw this we could not stop laughing!! The poor girls that were in the boat with us turned to each other and said, "I guess we will just have to go again to get a good picture." I still laugh so hard when I see it, I am glad you had a blast Jimmy, I did too, you just can't see it!

This ride I look like I am about to have a heart attack and Jim looks like he is having a blast. We both really enjoyed the ride!

Although the trip was short, we had so much fun being together and acting like kids again at Disneyland!
